From Jennifer Kyrnin, your Guide to Web Design / HTML
This week is a hard week for me because I'm saying goodbye to my partner, Darla Ferrara. She wrote excellent articles on XML for the Web Design / HTML site and after this week she won't be working here any more. This week I've also got an article on CSS justification and an editor for inside the Chrome browser.

I thought you might enjoy taking a look at the most popular content that you may have missed from the last month:

HSL Colors
Frequently Asked Questions about Web Design, HTML, CSS, and Web Development
CSS3 Linear Gradients
Multi-column Layout with CSS3
HTML5 Canvas by Steve Fulton and Jeff Fulton

Please forward this newsletter, in its entirety, to your colleagues, coworkers and friends, anyone you think would like to learn more about web design, HTML, and web development.

Darla is Leaving the Web Design Site
Unfortunately, About.com has decided to discontinue the Contributing Writer program at the end of September, so we will no longer be seeing her articles on SVG, XSLT, EPUB, and other XML topics. I would like to wish her well in the future, and if she starts writing about XML in another location, I'll be sure to link to her. There is also a possibility that we might see her a little closer to home in the future. I'll keep you posted as I know more. Good luck Darla! You will be missed!

Justifying Text with CSS
One of the popular features of the CSS text-align style property is the ability to justify blocks of text. This is where you take a block of text and align both the right and left sides to be even by adding spacing within each line. Justification is done by the browser or user agent automatically, all you have to do is tell it what text should be justified. This article explains how justification works and when you should or should not use it.

Editor for Chrome
This is an editor that lives inside your web browser. October starts my month of HTML editor reviews. I'll be updating my reviews with the most recent version information and adding new editors. If you know of an editor that I haven't reviewed, please let me know and I'll add it to my list.

Poll: Are you excited to start using CSS3 animations?
One of the things I am most interested in with CSS3 is animations. You can make things fly in and out, create animated scenes and move your elements all over the place with CSS. This is exciting to me because it used to be that all that could only done with JavaScript and it was hard to implement and make work effectively. CSS3 moves the animation into the purvue of the designer, rather than the programmer, where it has been in graphics for a long time.
