From Jennifer Kyrnin, your Guide to Web Design / HTML
Mobile design is getting more and more important as more and more mobile devices come on the market. And while most smartphones and tablets use standards-based browsers like Safari and Chrome, the best designs don't assume that one size fits all. This special newsletter brings you some articles to help you get started with mobile design so that you can take advantage of this growing area.

Please forward this newsletter, in its entirety, to your colleagues, coworkers and friends, anyone you think would like to learn more about web design, HTML, and web development.

How to Detect Mobile Devices
Mobile designs do look different from designs for desktop computers, and it can be very strange to view a mobile site on a large screen, so you want to be able to detect mobile devices so that you can show them the design that works best for them.

Give Your Mobile Readers Options
But the best websites don't force mobile users to use one design. If a mobile user wants to view the entire website, even if it's not optimized for them, then your site should accomodate that. Do You Force Mobile Web Pages? Why or Why Not?

How to Write for the iPhone
The iPhone is a very popular mobile device and along with the Android smartphones dominates the market of smartphone use. So knowing how to design for these devices can help improve your pages. And for the most part, if you design a page that looks good on the iPhone, it will look good on Android phones too.

How to Test Mobile Web Pages and Applications
Testing is very important in mobile design. But most of us don't have multiple smartphones and tablets to be able to test extensively. So what can you do? Here are some suggestions for how you can test both with and without the phones themselves.
